Reflow is a tablature and drum-notation editor for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, published by Gargant. It has shipped continuously on the App Store since 6 January 2011 — the day the Mac App Store opened — and arrived on iPhone and iPad in 2012.
Unlike orchestral notation software, Reflow is designed for the way most musicians actually work: guitar tab, bass tab, drum grooves, and full-band arrangements. Tablature and drum notation are first-class use cases, not afterthoughts — standard notation follows along in sync when you want it.
Drum teachers have long used Reflow to prepare lesson material: a full percussion staff, custom kit mapping, an interactive drumpad, exportable PDFs, and playback at any tempo make it one of the few apps equally comfortable with a rock groove and a polyrhythmic solo.
The v26 generation (2026) extends Reflow well past notation: edit while it plays, Studio Rack (Mac) with AU plugin hosting, Free Clips for non-destructive arrangement, Design Mode for hand-tuned page layout, Speed Trainer for loop-and-ramp practice, Score Themes for rendering the same score in Classic, Dark, Blue, or Sepia, and Instant Web Share — upload any score and share a link that opens in the recipient's browser with an interactive web player.
Reflow imports Guitar Pro 3 through 8, MusicXML, and MIDI. It exports to Guitar Pro 5 and 7, MusicXML, MIDI, WAV, M4A, PDF, PNG, and SVG. Playback uses the MuseScore General SoundFont (128 General MIDI instruments), with tempo control from 0.25× to 2×, metronome, precount, and section looping.
